Support for Non-Trads

When I first started writing my blog, I had to search for blogs that were about non-traditional law students. Other resources also seemed elusive and were more geared toward fresh-out-of-undergrad students.

So while I'm supposed to be studying for my final exam for Friday, instead I'll do a quickie online resource guide for non-trads:

  • NonTradLaw's Discussion Board - Better (and way more mature) than the other law school discussion boards. Everyone is friendly and they are in the same boat as you!
  • ABA's Law Student Blawg Directory - More than just non-trads, but you'll find plenty there. It's where I found most of the ones I follow.
  • Solosez - Even if you aren't thinking of being a solo or small firm attorney, you will learn a lot from checking out this listserv. Law students are allowed to join but if you post, you must identify yourself as a law student (as opposed to an attorney).
  • A Great Post from the Law School Academic Support Blog on what it means to be a non-trad student and how to balance life with school.

Hope these help!

Thanks! Just wish it didn't take me a year to figure it all out when I first started law school.
