Law School Help for Legal Jobless

NU's Law Students Offered Help While Waiting Out Job Freeze

Northwestern University is trying to help out their future graduates who either have their job offer deferred because of the economy or who have not found a job. They are promoting volunteer positions and legal clinics while the students search for a job. In addition, they are helping students figure out how to cope with their student loans.

[The law school] reminded students that they can postpone their monthly payments on loans provided by the school until they start working and apply for short-term medical insurance to bridge the gap between graduation and their start dates. The loan forbearance is also available to Northwestern alumni who have been laid off.

Considering how bad the economy is right now and the end of this economic mess isn't likely to happen right away, hopefully, all law schools will work with their future graduates to help transition after law school.
