While there's plenty of griping in the blog world about law school, over at Onion Soup Mix I found this interesting spin about why you should come to law school:
Top Five Reasons to Drop Out of Social Sciences and Go To Law School
I particularly liked this quote:
"So yes, we are all nerds. But we are happy nerds."
I guess I never thought of law school as a happy nerd-dom but hey, I guess there's always someone out there who loves the philosophical aspects of law.
In response to Onion Soup Mix's blog, The Shark proposed the top five reasons to attend law school rather than work:
law school rules, working drools.
My favorite is #3:
3. Not a morning person? Do you party every Thursday and then loathe waking up Friday? Too bad, if you are a daily grind-er. While working from home and flexible schedules are becoming more popular, most people work M-F, 9-5 (and most lawyers a lot more than that).
Law students, on the other hand, have a lot more flexibility with their schedules. For example: this semester I decided to have Mondays off instead of Fridays because I thought it would make me more productive.
Read and enjoy.

I actually do like school and class and usually my classmates but...I don't like having zero leisure time and that makes me grumpy. When I'm at school I feel very happy. Plus Im part time evening with Non trads who are nothing like the daytime 1L highschool bunch.
