If you work full time while going to law school, like me, it's hard to cram in time to study.
To aid in this dilemma, I have found the following to be a useful means to help you study while working full time.
Note, these things should be done during work breaks, lunch hours, before work, etc. - and if in doubt as to whether or not you may use your work computer, check with your supervisor first!
- Come into work a half hour early to finish reading your assigned class cases.
- Study electronic notes or powerpoints from your classes on your work computer.
- Create outlines for your notes.
- Perform Lexis / Westlaw searches for upcoming research papers.
- Type up your class research papers.
- Write out or review flash cards from your class notes.
- Complete www.cali.org lessons to bone up on what you've already been studying.
As a full-time employee / part-time student, even a spare fifteen minutes can mean a lot when it comes to studying.
